A Helping Hand Goes a Long Way... Volunteer Today!

Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand  Rapids has a success record as a non-profit organization that uses sound business practices to provide vocational rehabilitation services, job training, and placement services for people with physical and/or mental disabilities or barriers to employment. Volunteer Today! There are hundreds of ways to help out. Here are just a few:

In-Store Volunteer:
Assist store employees with store cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities may include hanging and sorting clothes, greeting customers, organizing general merchandise areas, and recovering the dressing rooms.

Outlet Center Volunteer: The Outlet Center is where donated goods have a second chance to be sold. Volunteers will sort products to be sold, recycle unsold products, assist with cleanliness and organization, and other tasks as needed.

Recycling Center Volunteer: While focusing on environmental sustainability, the Recycling Center processes unsold donated goods. Volunteers will sort goods based upon their material composition.

Career Center Volunteer: The Career Center is open to the public and participants to provide resources to help people find jobs. Volunteers will assist people with using the internet, building their resumes, and developing basic computer skills.

Administrative Support: Assist with Goodwill programs through the maintenance of files.
