Goodwill to open new Retail Store and Workforce Development Office in Mt. Pleasant

Grand Rapids, MI – Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids is excited to announce the Grand Opening of a new store combined with a workforce development office in Mt. Pleasant on May 14. Pinnacle Construction is building this new location for Goodwill. The new store is located at 4529 East Bluegrass Road, Mt. Pleasant Michigan and will include a convenient drive thru donation drop off.

The new Mt. Pleasant store will replace the old store and workforce development center that is currently in Mt. Pleasant. This is the first store that will feature a workforce development office within the store. “Combining these locations will allow better access to our services for individuals in the community and will be a great educational tool for people to better understand our mission,” says Chief Marketing Officer Jill Wallace. The workforce development office will feature eight computer stations and dedicated classroom space, offering employability skills and job search assistance for the community.

Store revenue will fund job training and placement programs for individuals in the Mt. Pleasant community.  The community is invited to attend the Grand Opening on Saturday, May 14 at 4529 East Bluegrass Road, Mt. Pleasant Michigan. The store opens at 9am and we will be offering refreshments from Blue Spoon catering to attendees. There will also be a chance to win a Goodwill gift card with an enter to win giveaway.
