Certification Programs

All training programs are instructed by experts in the field who have practical as well as classroom experience.  Participants meet with program staff prior to enrollment to help ensure a good fit and develop a plan for training and employment.  All programs include book learning, real-world experience, and support in preparing for the certification test.

Advanced Manufacturing Certification Program – A  partnership between Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Community College will provide advanced manufacturing training in conjunction with Goodwill’s flagship Achieve program. More information.

Certified Nurse Aide Training Program – This enhanced CNA Training Program provides 115 hours of classroom learning, lab practice, and hands-on clinical work with elders.  A full-time Employment Specialist assists participants in preparing for and securing employment in the health care field.  More information.

ServSafe Food Handler Certification Program – This program provides Servsafe Certification Training for individuals and businesses in the food service industry. More information.

Technology Certification Program – This program provides a 15 week technical training for qualified participants.  At the completion of the program, participants will be eligible to take the exams for the CompTIA A+ certification.  Individuals that successfully complete the exam will be provided with the opportunity to interview for a position in our partner’s IT call center.
